PM of Kyrgyzstan Maripov meets with country’s Business Ombudsman Robin Ord-Smith

Bishkek, Feb. 26, 2021. / Kabar /. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov met with the country’s Business Ombudsman Robin Ord-Smith, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government said on Friday.

The head of the government noted the importance of the Business Ombudsman Institute to ensure protection of the rights and legitimate interests of entrepreneurs and compliance with them by public authorities.

The prime minister emphasized the importance of work with business and investors, including a recent meeting with the business community where the need to build partnerships and mutually beneficial relationships was noted.

Maripov stressed a plan of priority measures is being developed today, where a separate package will include measures to ensure the safety and guarantees of business in interaction with law enforcement agencies.

“A meeting of the Security Council will be held in the near future, where emphasis will be made on the issues of business and investment, as well as interaction with law enforcement agencies, state authorities, local governments and their officials,” the Kyrgyz prime minister noted.

In his turn, Robin Ord-Smith stressed the importance of effective interaction between the Government and the Institute.

He spoke about the activities of the Institute of Business Ombudsman, dwelling on topical issues of providing protection of interests of entrepreneurs.

The business ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan noted that along with the main function of the Institute of Business Ombudsman, its professional team is ready to provide maximum assistance in the ongoing reforms, presenting current proposals to create a favorable environment for business.
