Kyrgyz culture minister on program of IV World Nomadic Games in Turkey

Bishkek, June 14, 2021 . / Kabar / . Turkey attaches great importance to holding the IV World Nomad Games in 2022, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Kairat Imanaliyev said during the air of Birinchi Radio.

“Our athletes, artisans, cultural figures should prepare more thoroughly. We should be interested in raising the prestige of the Nomad Games even higher,” the minister said, and added that the Turkish side is already making preparations.

He noted the Games will be held in the Turkish city of Iznik.

“This city has historical significance for us. A memorial to Kyrgyz warriors is erected there,” Imanaliyev said.

The culture minister added theatrical performances and traditional games are planned.

“Also together with the Turkish side we want to organize a platform to acquaint with the culture and hold the “Nomadic Universe” festival.

In addition, an ethno-bazaar will be organized. It will be a good opportunity for our artisans, cause there are a lot of tourists in Turkey. We are also negotiating to hold our traditional games before the kok-boru game, in order to get acquainted with them,” Imanaliyev said.

He added that Bilal Erdogan, the head of the committee on the organization of nomadic games and president of Turkish Ethno-Federation Center proposed to hold ethno-festivals at Kyrchyn Valley and at Cholpon-Ata Hippodrome every year to prepare to the Games.
